Introducing my newest little "painted jewel". The theme for this one is "Raised In Captivity" It is a take-off from my painting "The Lookout" that I completed a year ago. The hardness of the stone in contrast to the softness of the fruit is what drew me to paint this piece. The use of dramatic lighting also interests me.
